  1. Luxembourg was founded in 963, was ruled by Burgundy, Spain,
  2. Austria and France from 1448 to 1815.  It left the Germanic
  3. Confederation in 1866.  Overrun by Germany in both World Wars.
  4. Luxembourg ended its neutrality in 1948 when a customs union with
  5. Belgium and The Netherlands was adopted.                    @
